How to participate in the League of Women Voters of Lane County.

Anyone who is 18 years or older and a citizen of the United States can become a member with voting rights at the Annual Meeting. If you are not 18 years of age and/or a citizen of the United States you may become an Associate with all rights of participation except voting.

Annual dues are $60/year per individual. For two members residing in the same household, dues are $90/year. For new members joining between February and June 30, dues are half price. To encourage younger members, a full-time student may join with dues of $20.

Of that amount per member payments (PMP) go to both League of Women Voters of Oregon (LWVOR) and League of Women Voters of the United States (LWVUS).
$12.stays with the LWVLC operating fund. (LWVUS). Additional funds come to the LWVLC through contributions from members, interested parties and fund raising events.
Tax deductible contributions must be marked for the Education Fund. Those Ed funds may be used only for educational purposes such as Voters Service materials. Participation in the League is up to the individual. All members and Associates receive the local newletter, ARGUS; the state publication, OREGON VOTER; and the national publication, NATIONAL VOTER.

Study groups meet at the League office (338 W. 11th Ave. Suite #1 in Eugene) at designated times. They include: The following committees meet as necessary.

The office is staffed in the Summer Monday & Thursday 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with adjustments for holidays.

Various activities are planned for new members. There is a Membership Luncheon in September.
